Desert Dachshund
Come and see who may steal your heart!
We are now located in the beautiful state of Arizona.

I have been a massage therapist for six years now and am currently enrolled in school for respiratory therapy.
I decided last year that when I retired, I wanted to be with my daughter (not that she'll be at home then) and my dogs full time.

We are finally off to a good start and this is now my third year in the business.
I am still seeking advice from family, friends, handlers and other trusted breeders.

My husband is a geologic modeler.  He loves his work.
Half the time I don't understand what he's saying, but that's okay, he doesn't always understand me either.
Example:  He thinks that I'm crazy when I say the words brindle, dapple, cream and tan.
I have to say stripes, spots, blonde and light brown.  It's kind of funny!

I've been around dachshunds my whole life.  I have pictures of myself with doxies when I was just a baby.
You can see one of those pictures on our index page!  They are the most energetic dogs I know.
They really think that they are big stuff in those little bodies.

We are striving to improve the miniature dachshund breed.  Careful breeding is done to
ensure that all of our puppies are genetically sound and safe from the breeds impairments.
Genetic testing will be our first step to ensure our puppies are free from these defects.
We will begin testing our dogs once we move to Tucson.

If you live alone, a dachshund would be a wonderful dog for you.  They tend to form a bigger bond with one person.  They are however, still very good family dogs.  They are very protective and they have a really big bark, so intruders...beware.

Long Haired Dachshunds, in my experience are less "snooty" than Smooth Coat Dachshunds.
