WE, KELLY K. CARDWELL AND/OR JUSTIN N. CARDWELL, GUARANTEE OUR PUPPIES TO BE IN GOOD HEALTH AND FREE FROM OBVIOUS DEFECTS TO THE BEST OF OUR KNOWLEDGE. THIS PUPPY IS BEING SOLD AS PET QUALITY. IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO KEEP THIS PUPPY, PLEASE DO NOT HESITATE TO CONTACT US. WE ARE MORE THAN WILLING TO ASSIST YOU IN FINDING AN APPROPRIATE HOME FOR THE PUPPY. OUR PUPPIES WILL ALWAYS HAVE A LOVING HOME HERE WITH US IF A SUITABLE HOME CAN NOT BE FOUND.

THIS GUARANTEE COVERS:
Genetic defects for one year from the date of this contract (not including PRA results) as long as said puppy is taken care of properly. Said puppy must have routine vet check-ups, immunizations, be fed properly, etc... Said puppy must be returned for replacement to be made along with written proof of condition from a licensed veterinarian. No cash refunds.

THIS GUARANTEE DOES NOT COVER:
PRA results, Diarrhea, coccidiosis and wormy stools. Every effort is made to sell the dogs free of these problems, but the guarantee does not cover them should they be present. Diarrhea is common with small puppies that have gone through a stressful period. Examples: Leaving the only home they know, meeting other pets/family and flying. ____
Dog Diseases
Said puppy has been given all immunizations and wormings appropriate for its age, and it has been carefully protected from exposure to dog disease. Please be careful to protect said puppy until it receives a series of three shots. Our guarantee does not cover puppy illness or death due to puppy disease after the sale. ____
Hypoglycemia (Low Blood Sugar)
This is a common problem among toy breeds, especially the tiny ones. It is extremely important that you watch for signs of this problem. This can be a needless killer of young puppies. Symptoms include: listlessness, staggering when trying to walk, acting lethargic, etc. Always make sure said puppy has food and water and make sure to check that it has eaten. ____
TO MAKE USE OF THIS GUARANTEE:
To validate this guarantee, a licensed veterinarian must examine said puppy within 72 hours of the date that said puppy is handed over. (Excluding days that the vet’s office may be closed.) ____
AGREEMENTS:
Buyer agrees to all responsibility for veterinary and/or any other expenses incurred once said puppy leaves the breeder’s premises. ____
Buyer agrees to pay all shipping fees, including, but not limited to, airfare, health certificates and crates where applicable. These are not included in the purchase price of said puppy. ____

Buyer agrees to have said puppy spayed/neutered no later than six months of age and to furnish proof of this in the form of a veterinarian’s certificate to the breeder at which time the buyer shall receive said puppies AKC Limited Registration papers or application for such. Full breeding rights are to go to approved homes only and require filling out an application along with providing references. ____
Should said puppy be used for breeding purposes other than agreed upon here by both parties, the buyer shall be held in breach of contract which will be construed as damaging to the breeder and legal recourse will be taken in the amount of five thousand dollars ($5000.00) in addition to all court fees, legal fees and any other associated fees. ____
If, for any reason, the buyer is unable to care for or keep said puppy, the buyer agrees to notify Desert Dachshund immediately. At no time is the buyer to place said puppy in a shelter. Nor, is the buyer to place said puppy in another home without the consent of Desert Dachshund. The puppy may be returned to Desert Dachshund at buyer’s expense. No money will be refunded. ____
Buyer agrees to use the "Desert's" prefix before said puppies registered name. ____
